An 88-year-old Nasho has finally been given something to cheer about after years of battling debilitating cancerous lesions caused by nuclear radiation while on duty 68 years ago.

West Australian Keith Bishop and his wife of 30 years, Jan, lost hope of getting financial assistance to cover his ongoing medical bills, which have cost them more than $100,000.

But then Nasho Fair Go jumped in, pushing the Department of Veterans’ Affairs to act.
